Bolt on November 26th

BoltComputer-generated movies are always interesting to watch as there is plenty of animation to be impressed by. The Next such movie coming from Walt Disney Pictures is the Bolt which is the 47th animated movie from the famous company.

Behind the scenes are Chris Williams and Byron Howard as directors as well as the voice acting talent of John Travolta, Miley Cyrus and Susie Essman. Bolt promises to be a combination of adventure and comedy presented by Disney Digital 3-D.

In terms of plot, the movie is about a dog, Bolt, who is a superhero dog on TV, all of which makes him think he has some superpowers in real life too. After becoming separated from his TV shows and tries to readjust to normal life, he meets new friends and realizes that his powers don’t actually exist.

ComingSoon reports what happens next.

Armed only with the delusions that all his amazing feats and powers are real, and with the help of two unlikely traveling companions: a jaded, abandoned housecat named Mittens (voice of Susie Essman) and a TV-obsessed hamster in a plastic ball named Rhino, Bolt discovers he doesn’t need superpowers to be a hero.

SlashFilm reports details about the filming process.

Originally titled American Dog, Chris Sanders was attached to write and direct. But Sander’s vison of the animated movie was a little “too bold”. His early concepts featured a one-eyed cat and an oversized radioactive rabbit (see the publicly released concept art below). Disney was supposedly looking for something a bit more “mainstream”.
