‘Avatar’ Trend – Songs Of The Na’vi

Avatar Trend Songs Of The NaviI’m not even asking if you have watched “Avatar.” I think you can hardly find someone who hasn’t. But did you pay attention to the music in film?

Of, course, when watching an action adventure movie, the soundtrack is not the first thing you can pay attention to… But the music of “Avatar”  is different.

Have you ever heard the name James Horner? Of course! Let me guess – from “Aliens” and “Titanic?” Absolutely right. He is the composer of the soundtracks to these movies. And now he has introduced his new masterpiece to the audience — the music to James Cameron’s “Avatar.”

For a moment the lead song of the album, performed by the winner of British Superstar Leona Lewis, somehow suggests the melody from “Titanic” sung by Celine Dion. It seems as if James Horner has chosen her on purpose, in order to match the voice. However, I believe this soundtrack is a total success.

The initial versions of all the songs were sung by a little choir, all the singers of which were taught the pronunciation of the Na’vi language. Later on the songs were all agreed to the movie sound effects and scenes and brought to the final condition.

This music will definitely never turn mainstream, but it already has its deserved fans. I know people who watch this new action movie over and over again just for its soundtrack. Amazing, but a fact! If you only take a look at the Internet forums on the topic of  the music from “Avatar,” you may think those people are a bit crazy. Or if you go on Facebook, just surf around, you’ll find more fans who turned their photos to Avatars (thanks God there is Photoshop, what would they do without it?). But there is nothing surprising in this.

Before that, people got fixed on the “Lord of the Rings” or the “Harry Potter” films: some scratched their foreheads to get a scar or operated on their ears to look elven. And now? Don’t be surprised if you see half-naked blue people running around–they are just imitating the Na’vis!
