An upcoming fantastic movie “Robin Hood” will be released on May 14 in the US. The film started production in 2007. It is directed by Ridley Scott and distributed by Universal Pictures.
This film is an action adventure movie based on the legend of a famous English heroic outlaw, Robin Hood.
“Robin Hood” stars Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett, William Hurt, Matthew Macfadyen, Mark Strong, Oscar Isaac and Kevin Durand. You should know Russell Crowe, the famous Oscar-winning Australian actor, who played leading roles in such films like “A Beautiful Mind,” “Proof of Life,” ”A Good Year” and the famous film “Gladiator.”
According to the plot of the “Robin Hood” this movie will be another interesting action film. It is set in the late 12th-century England. Robin Hood (Russell Crowe) is a hero who fights for justice and freedom of his people. When King Richard dies, a new sheriff of Nottingham oppresses the population. Robin travels to Nottingham to free his people from tyranny of the despotic sheriff.
The film also contains a romantic part. The fair hero falls in love with the beautiful, recently widowed Lady Marion (Cate Blanchett). Thus, Robin is fighting both for the rights of people and for the love of his beautiful mistress.
“Robin Hood” is the fifth collaboration of Crowe and Ridley Scott. Crowe admitted that Robin Hood is his favorite character and he spent 10 months reading a book about him. The famous actor says: “This has got to be the best [Robin Hood depiction] ever done, otherwise I should be doing something else.”
