Watch ‘It’s Complicated’ During The Holidays

Watch Its Complicated During The HolidaysUniversal Pictures has prepared a nice Christmas gift for all romantic comedy film lovers. On Christmas day, “It’s Complicated” opened in theaters nationwide. The film is directed and written by Nancy Meyers (“Something’s Gotta Give,” “What Women Want”).

The main anticipation of the movie is the terrific cast of such professional and talented artists, as the twice academy award winner Meryl Streep, incredible Alec Baldwin and charming Steve Martin. Young people will be glad to hear that John Krasinski, the star of “The Office” on NBC, is also here, as well as Lake Bell, Zoe Kazan, Bruce Altman, Rita Wilson and others.

The story focuses on three middle-aged characters, who have had experience  with divorce in their lifetimes, but are still bouncing enough to create love affairs, and even get into a love triangle.

The movie depicts a divorced middle-aged woman, Jane (Meryl Streep), who lives in Santa Barbara and runs a prosperous restaurant. Surprisingly enough, she shares very friendly relationships with her ex-husband, Jake (Alec Baldwin), who recently got married to young Agnes. After 10 years of divorce Jake and Jane keep a sincerely open and friendly relationship. But, suddenly, one event changes the smooth sequence of the close and innocent friendship, when in New York City, during their son’s graduation, the two flow into the burning stream of feelings, and the exes become lovers again.

But, here is the pickle: as Jake is married to Agnes, Jane is not the only woman in Jake’s life. Besides, there is another character, Adam (Steve Martin), an intelligent and charming architect, who has also had several divorces to his name and who is invited to design Jane’s kitchen. Adam becomes infatuated with her and the two become quite close.

Did you get confused? It’s complicated, right? So who do you think she is going to stay with? Well, I advise you to see the movie, as I think it is going to be one of the best romance movies of 2010.

While comedy romantic movies are more often targeted for the younger generation, this movie is unique, as it concentrates specifically on the relationships of middle-aged people and is more entertaining for older people.
