Beware Of My Love
Directed by French movie director Jeanne Labrune, Beware of My Love will be available on DVD next month. The film is a psychological drama that starts in a train when a carpet salesperson named Samuel notices a sleeping young woman.
The Sunday Times Online reports that the heroine of the movie, Muriel, is a successful middle-aged writer who enters into a painful relationship with Samuel.
One day, she meets a stranger on a train and she is drawn to him. The next day, the stranger turns up unexpectedly at Muriel’s flat and they immediately make love. The stranger tells Muriel his name, Samuel, and says that he sells carpets for a living. The two develop a turbulent and unpredictable relationship, which soon develops into violent abuse. Although Samuel ill-treats her, takes her money and upsets her work, Muriel is unable to break with the strange man who has entered her life - perhaps forever…
According to New York Times, the soundtrack features an excerpt from Philip Glass’ opera, “Einstein on the Beach.”
