An upcoming fantastic movie titled “Eat Pray Love” will no doubt attract the attention of all drama movie lovers. The film, produced by Columbia Pictures, is expected to be released in the US on August 13.
The famous “Pretty Woman”–Julia Roberts–will star, along with James Franco, Javier Bardem, Viola Davis, Billy Crudup and Richard Jerkins. The film is written and directed by Ryan Murphy.
“Eat Pray Love” is based on the book-memoir by Elizabeth Gilbert, which was a bestseller book for over three years.
The film tells the story of a 32-year-old woman writer Liz Gilbert (Julia Roberts) who seems to have everything to be happy–a great job and a caring husband. Yet, like many women, Liz feels confused and lost. She wants to find out what happiness for her means. Soon she breaks up with her husband. Later she starts a love affair with another man but it doesn’t get anywhere.
So she decides to travel around the world to experience new excitement and better understand herself. Liz spends amazing time having fun and experiencing the real pleasure of food in Italy (Eat), she discovers the great power of prayer in India (Pray ) and the power of inner peace and love in Bali, Indonesia (Love).
Both Javier Bardem (who won an Oscar for best supporting actor for his performance in “No Country for Old Men“) and Julia Roberts (she won the Oscar for best actress in “Erin Brockovich” as you probably remember) seem to be more popular than ever these days–both of them have been making fantastic films in the last few years. I think (unless I’m wrong) this is their first collaboration together, so it’s going to be interesting to see how their on-screen chemistry plays out.
