There’s no doubt that the mere title of the movie “A Walk To Remember” still evokes the same warm romantic feelings as the movie itself.
“The Last Song,” which is among the forthcoming movie DVD releases, is sure to produce the same impact as “A Walk To Remember” since they both are based on novels written by the American best-selling writer Nicholas Sparks. Moreover, the screenplay for “The Last Song” is written by Nicholas Sparks, too. The film is distributed by Touchstone Pictures and Buena Vista International and produced by Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot.
Starring 16 year-old famous singer and actress Miley Cyrus and 19 year-old Australian Liam Hemsworth, the film is sure to enjoy great popularity, especially among teenagers since the film is a story that speaks in the voice of every teen. However, this drama won’t leave a grown-up indifferent either, because it will send them back to the indelible moments of teen-hood and the sweet memories of their first love.
“The Last Song” is a drama about a 17 year-old teenage girl named Veronica who has to spend the summer with her dad in a beach town in Georgia. As a girl who had gone through a lot after her parents’ divorce a few years before, she finds herself in an awkward situation and is quite reluctant to see her father. But as the events develop further Ronnie and her father, who is a retired concert pianist and teacher, gradually become fast friends since they share a lot of common ground. Moreover, a love affair with Will Blakelee, a volleyball player, makes Veronica like the new place even more.
Thus, “The Last Song” is a drama that touches upon such everlasting themes as a generation gap problem, parental love, the first love, and teenage-hood. So, if you are eager to see this upcoming movie, look for it when it hits theaters on January 8, 2010.
