The Perfect Game Coming This WeekThe Perfect Game,” an upcoming drama, will be released on April 16. The film is adapted from the 2008 book of the same name written by author W. William Winokur, which is based on a true story.

The film stars Clifton Collins Jr., Cheech Marin, Moises Arias, Jake T. Austin, Ryan Ochoa, Carlos Padilla and others. It was directed by William Dear and distributed by Visio Entertainment.

In 2009 the film was screened at the Guadalajara International Film Festival.

“The Perfect Game” tells a story of a group of kids from Monterrey, Mexico that won the Little League World Series in 1957. Cesar Faz (Cliffton Collins Jr.) is a former baseball player who returns to Monterrey after being defeated by racist Major Leagues in the US. In Monterrey, he meets this group of kids, led by Padre Esteban (Cheech Marin). The pitcher of the team Angel Macias (Jake T. Austin) asks Cezar to coach them. Cezar agrees and recruits Monterrey’s Little League for a competition. With Cesar’s help and Padre Esteban’s support the ordinary boys from Mexico become ready to overcome all difficulties and fight for victory.

The Little League then arrives in the US, where it faces some troubles with visas, nationality and a language barrier. Despite the problems the team reveals its professionalism and reaches its aim. It becomes a winner of the Little League World Series 1957. It was the first non-US team to become the winner of this competition.

Both the plot and the succession of the film are very interesting and exciting. So, if you are really interested in the best drama movies, this film is really worth checking out!
