Directed by Matthew Diamond, Camp Rock will be broadcast by the Disney Channel, ABC, in June. The Original Soundtrack of the movie will release on 17 June, followed by a DVD release hitting stores on 19 August. Camp Rock combines three genres; Romance, Musical and Comedy, and stars Nick Jonas as Nate, Joe Jonas as Shane Gray, Paul Kevin Jonas as Jason and Demi Lovato as Mitchie Torres.

The movie focuses on the life of a teenage girl, Mitchie Torres (Demi Lovanto), who wants to desperately spend her summer at a prestigious summer camp. However, Torres can only attend if she works as a cook in the kitchen of the camp. The saga begins when one day, Torres is overheard singing by Shane Gray (Joe Jonas). Gray vows to find the girl with the beautiful voice.

Micechat reports that Camp Rock was written by Julie Brown and Paul Brown, Regina Hicks and Karen Gist.

According to TVGuide. com, the production of the Camp Rock movie has already begun in Toronto and is scheduled to finish before this summer.

Camp Rock stars popular Hollywood Records recording artists/Radio Disney faves the Jonas Brothers (aka Joe, Kevin and Nick Jonas), who recently guest-starred in a record-breaking episode of Hannah Montana.
