‘Going The Distance’ Coming In August

Going The Distance Coming In AugustIf you’re a fan of romantic comedy movies, “Going the Distance” will catch your attention. The film, which was shot partly in New York City, is going to be released on August 27 in the US.

The film is directed by Nanette Burstein and produced by Jennifer Gibgot, Jared Hess and Adam Shankman. Drew Barrymore (“Charlie’s Angels,” “Duplex,” “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind,”  ”50 First Dates”) stars, along with Justin Long, Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day, Christina Applegate and Ron Livingston.

Erin (Drew Barrimore) and Garrett (Justin Long) are a lovely cheerful couple who get along with each other pretty well. Erin is an ambitious journalist who moves to San Francisco to finish her last year of school, and Garrett is a musician who is waiting for a job promotion in Manhattan. They’re a modern couple involved in an active life, willing to reach their goals. Thus they are obliged to part for a while. The only thing the couple can do is to keep in touch or visit each other occasionally.

Time passes, the hard time is over and they’re planning to meet again. But very unexpectedly they both get their dream jobs–Erin in California and Garrett in New York. The couple still hopes that the temporary break will be good for them to achieve what they want… if only true love is able to overcome such difficulties as time and distance.

“Going the Distance” will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, New Line Cinema and 20th Century Fox.
