War always seems to be tied into romance movies. The movie In the Land of Blood and Honey will take you through the Bosnian war. It will reunite two acquaintances that had once shared a mutual interest in one another. He is a soldier fighting for the Serb, and she’s a captive of a camp he currently is overseeing. However, when they meet this time, they will have different agendas. War and mixed emotions makes for a very good movie.
Romance movies involving war touch on so many emotions of viewers. When watching the trailer for this movie, I had the feeling I would be taken to places within my mind I don’t visit often. I like that because the closed doors in my mind sometimes need to be open. It is good to feel when watching a movie. Especially one involving war and love as subjects or points of interest. Such a strange combination but it works.
This movie involves these emotions as well as manipulation because of the different agendas the two main characters have. Expect a little bit of everything in this movie, including a little bit of romance, fighting, and decent explosions. Some of the cast that makes up this movie is: Rade Serbedzija, Zana Marjanovic, and Goran Kostic just to name a few. This movie was written and director by one of my top female actors, Angelina Jolie. This movie should hit theaters around February 2012
