“The Last Song” is among the forthcoming best drama movies, based upon the novel by Nicholas Sparks. The main roles of the film star Miley Cyrus, Greg Kinnear and Liam Hemsworth.
Directed by Julie Anna, produced by Adam Shankman, Jennifer Gibgot and distributed by Touchstone Pictures, this film will be released on March 31, 2010. The shooting of the film’s main scenes were taken on the Tybee island’s beach, from June 15 to August 18, 2009. It was planned to be released on January 8, 2010, but yet has been delayed to March 31, 2010.
Seventeen-year-old Veronica ‘Ronnie’ Miller’s (Miley Cyrus) life became unbearably dark after her parents’ divorce and father’s posterior decision to move from New York to Tybee Island, Georgia, where he grew up. Three years passed without reflecting on Ronnie’s attitude towards her parents; she was still offended and didn’t forgive her father for leaving them. She kept on refusing to attend classes and enjoy her time with her friends.
Kim (Ronny’s mother) decides it would be great for her capricious teen and her younger brother-Johan, to spend their summer vacations with their father.
Steve – a piano teacher – now enjoys his quiet life on a Tybee Island, being deeply keened on an artwork of the local church.
Arriving in the island Ronnie was still unhappy and rude towards all around Ronnie, including Will Blakelee (Liam Hemsworth) – a good-looking, gracious beach volleyball player. She kept on ignoring him, until they both appeared in the same place, saving a Loggerheaad Sea Turtle nest. Now she gets closer to him and finds him quite gifted and attractive person. As Ronnie deeply falls in love with Will, she becomes a very pleasant and polite girl. Besides, she manages to find the real thing she has in common with her father – music. Now it’s high time for estranged father and daughter to reconnect their relations.
At the Oscars Miley said the following about her new movie: “I love it. I’ve been just so blessed to play different roles, and especially for the first thing to be ‘The Last Song.’ It’s been so great because it’s something that is me but dramatic and different too.”
We just have to wait a several days to enjoy “The Last Song” on the big screens!
