Jennifer Aniston never wastes time. ”The Bounty Hunter” has just hit the big screens and now she is already moving on to her next romantic comedy, “The Switch.”
“The Switch,” formerly titled “The Baster,” is among the upcoming new romantic comedy movies, coming out on August 20, 2010. The main cast includes Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman, Patrick Wilson, Jeff Goldblum and Juliette Lewis. The plot is based upon the story “Baster” by Jeffrey Eugenides.
In the film, a 40-year-old single woman Kassie (Jennifer Aniston) hopelessly wants a family. But there are no candidates to get things going. However, once she decides that it’s high time to become a mom, she chooses Roland (Patrick Wilson) as a donor to make an artificial insemination. Her neurotic friend Wally (Jason Bateman), who secretly loves her, after a drunk night out, replaces the donor’s sperm with his own.
It takes Wally seven years to know the truth. Once he notices that the boy has his same neurotic problem, he realizes that Kassie’s son is his own child. Now he does his best to be a good father to his wonderful child, although he’s forced to keep it a secret, even from Kassie. This isn’t an easy task, as Roland is still deeply in love with Kassie.
From what I’ve read, “The Switch” will definitely be one of the best new comedy movies. I can hardly wait until August!
