Cloverfield: Something Found Us

Cloverfield: Something Found UsApril 22th saw the DVD release of Cloverfield, a science-fiction//monster movie directed by Matt Reeves. The film stars Michael Stahl-David, T. J. Miller, Jessica Lucas, Odette Yustman, Lizzy Caplan and Mike Vogel. Amazingly given high-profile Hollywood films these days, the film’s budget was just $30 million, but managed to bring in $160 million worldwide.

Cloverfield is presented as a video recovered from a digital hand-held camera by the United States Department of Defense. The story revolves around five New Yorkers who witness a strange monster attacking their City. Unlike other horror/monster films, the monster doesn’t appear immediately to destroy everything, but instead remains silent for a while which makes everyone wonder and worry where the hell it’s hiding.

According to Cinematical, the DVD release will contain two endings.

I’m not sure what these two new endings will show but apparently the upcoming Cloverfield DVD will house a couple of different looks at the controversial finale.

Considering the amount of viral marketing this puppy shoveled out in the months leading up to its release, I wouldn’t expect anything less than 750 special features on 17 discs.

Enjoy the trailer.
