Splice: The Human Animal Hybrid“Splice” is a movie for all those who adore science fiction, horror and thriller films.

This movie is directed by Vincenzo Natali and produced by Guillermo del Toro, Joel Silver and Marco Weber. It is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. The film stars Delphine Chaneac, Adrien Brody, Sarah Polley, Amanda Brugel and Abigail Chu.

The shooting of one of the most promising  horror thriller movies started in 2007, Toronto. The movie will be released on June 4.

Clive (Adrian Brody) and Elsa (Sarah Polley) have no rivals in genetic engineering world. They splice different DNA’s to create new creatures. One day they decide to splice human DNA with animal DNA…

The pharmaceutic company that funds their research doesn’t like their idea. And Clive and Elsa decide to perform the experiment secretly. The result of their experiment is Dren (Delphine Chanaec).

Dren is a deformed infant who starts developing very fast and turns into a winged human-chimera. Dren develops both physically and intellectually and exceeds all the expectations of scientists. Dren is a true dream of scientists, but at the same time he presents a great danger for them. And it seems that sometimes such experiments can take too far…

The film is interesting and original in its way. The director of the film Vincenzo Natali says that the film is about our genetic future. He also says: “[This] is a serious film and an emotional one. And there’s sex… Very unconventional sex. The centerpiece of the movie is a creature which goes through a dramatic evolutionary process. The goal is to create something shocking but also very subtle and completely believable.”
