Grown-Up Alice In Wonderland
Tim Burton’s upcoming flick “Alice in Wonderland,” financed by Disney, was supposed to be released in 2009, but its release was delayed until March 2010.
Although Burton’s film plot is based on Lewis Carroll’s famous novel, it represents a new take on the story. The film like the novel tells about 17-year-old Alice’s adventures in Wonderland. Everything starts when Alice falls down the rabbit hole and finds herself in Wonderland. Then we witness how she swims in a pool full of her own tears, how she changes her size and attends tea parties. In this wonderful land she meets different extraordinary characters, like the queen, the Cheshire Cat, the Caterpillar and several others.
The fifty-year-old filmmaker in one of his interviews said that the film is a combination of the new and the old. Burton tried to give the main character Alice a new breath while at the same time preserving the traditional features of the heroine. The film is notable for its big and colorful dresses.
The music of the film is composed by Danny Elfman, who is known in the film industry as “Hollywood’s hottest film composer.”
This Disney animated movie will be shown in Disney digital 3D and IMAX 3-D. It combines both live action and animation techniques, which will make an indelible impression on the audience.
