In September 2008, Johnny Depp signed on for the trilogy “Pirates of the Caribbean 4,” also known as “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” is set to be released on May 20, 2011. Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Rob Marshal, this film is based on the novel by Tim Powers.
The previous three “Pirates of the Caribbean” films featuring Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley had a great success and gained millions of dollars.
Shooting will take place on the islands of Kaua’i and O’ahu. This event makes Hawaii quite happy. The declaration of the film’s production was made by the governor of Hawaii Linda Lingle. Linda Lingle met the president of Walt Disney in order to discuss some ideas about the film. Eventually, the governor’s office announced that the film production could bring almost $85 million for Hawaii.
In the fourth installment of “Pirates of the Caribbean,” Johnny Depp will reprise the roll of “Captain Jack Sparrow.” The plot is said to rotate near the “Fountain of Youth.”
At “World’s End” was released that Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom are ready to walk away from future installments of the series and move on to their other upcoming movies.
According to Hollywood repoters’ several blogs, at present Penelope Cruz is in negotiations to join Johnny Depp in “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.”
Yet it is not clear what the role of Cruz will be, though the early reports say that maybe she will be an opponent of “Captain Jack Sparrow” (Johnny Depp), who has interesting stories to tell about him. No one can deny that Penelope has the fire for such roles in new action movies.
Penelope is an actress winning the Oscar for the “Best supporting actress” in the movie “Vicky, Christina, Barcelona”. If everything goes well her upcoming movie “Pirates of the Caribbean 4″ will also have such a great success and it will hit theaters and cinemas on May, 2011.
