The Strangers

The StrangersMost people prefer not to speak about their deepest, darkest fears although somewhat ironically, we naturally want to watch horror movies. Many of us are therefore going to be both anticipating and dreading watching The Strangers when it hits cinema screens on May 30.

Directed by Bryan Bertino, the film stars Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman and could be one of the scariest films to be released in recent years. It won’t be frightening in the same way as horror movies are, but it will deal with something far more plausible, and therefore something that is far more scarier.

The Strangers is about a couple who return home from a friend’s wedding reception and plan to continue celebrating at their remote house, but a sudden knock on the door makes their life a complete nightmare. Three strangers with frightening masks appear and change a sweet romantic atmosphere into something more like hell.

What makes the film even more frightening is that it is meant to be based a true story, as ComingSoon reports.

The horrifying events that took place in the Hoyt family’s vacation home at 1801 Clark Road on February 11, 2005, are still not entirely known.

Just watch the trailer and understand that locking doors and assuming you are safe is not going to work. People who have watched the trailer are commenting that the moment when Liv Tyler is standing in the kitchen and a guy with mask appears is enough to make them shiver.
